Being innovative lawyers who advise discerning technocrats on a daily basis, we are particularly concerned about your privacy. We want you to trust us not only with your legal needs but also with your personal data. We also strive to be fully transparent about our personal data processing practices. Therefore, we have developed this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to help you understand how we obtain and process your personal data when you use the Website. 

The Privacy Policy applies to all individuals whose personal data we receive through the use of the website, as well as through business correspondence or the provision of services. This Policy (as well as our Cookies Policy) is part of our Terms of Use. Unless otherwise defined, the terms used in this document have the same meaning as in the Terms of Use.

We are Axon Attorneys Association, registered under the law of Ukraine at: office 217, 36E, Yevhen Konovaltsia St., office 217, Pecherskyi district, Kyiv, Ukraine, legal entity identification code: 45942597. We are the Owner of the personal data that we receive through your interaction with the Website. This means that we determine how and why we use such data.

If you have any questions about this Policy, the processing of your personal data, or the exercise of your rights as a personal data subject, please send us a request to the email address listed in the contacts section of this Policy.

Hereinafter, for convenience, we will further refer to ourselves as
AXON.PARTNERS”, “Company,” and also use the designations “we,” “our,” or “us.”

When you visit our Website, we identify you as a “User”. The “User” as used herein also covers all customers or potential customers with whom we conduct business communications. 

Age Limitation

We welcome everyone to our Website, but we do not knowingly process data from Users under 18 without the consent of their legal representatives.

How do we collect personal data?

What data do we process and how?

What data do we process?

We may process the following categories of personal data:

1.Data of the Website Users that you provide when filling out contact forms. 

When you fill out the contact forms, you provide us with the following information about yourself: your name, email address, and the information contained in your request. You can also attach an attachment related to your request, which may also contain both your personal data and data of third parties. 

The legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract with you.

The purpose of the processing is to answer your questions and to communicate with you. 

We will keep your data for the duration of our communication and cooperation with you. When our cooperation is no longer relevant to you, we will delete your data within 3 years after its completion, i.e., within the statute of limitations.  

2.Data of Website Users that you provide when you subscribe to our newsletter. 

By filling out this form, you provide us with your e-mail address. 

The legal basis for processing is your consent. 

The purpose of the processing is to send you interesting and useful information related to the use of the Website or legal topics. 

If you wish to unsubscribe, we will delete most of your data. However, we keep your email address on our list for 3 years after unsubscribing for statute of limitations purposes and to ensure that we do not mistakenly send you our newsletter after you unsubscribe. Don’t forget – you can unsubscribe at any time, and you can always contact us.

3.Business contact information obtained in the course of providing services or business communications.


If you have provided us with your email address in the course of our business relationship (e.g., as a representative of a client company or in correspondence regarding our services), we may use it to send you newsletters, news, and updates about our services. You can always opt out of such communications by clicking the appropriate link in each email or by writing to us at privacy@axon.partners

The legal basis for processing is legitimate interest.

The purpose of processing is to maintain contact with our customers and inform them about news that may be relevant.

We retain this data for the duration of the contractual or business relationship with your company and for 3 years after its termination, unless otherwise required by law or our internal policies.

4.Data of the Website Users that you provide when filling out the forms in the “Vacancies” section. 

You provide the following information about yourself: your name and surname, date of birth, place of residence and study, work experience, email address, phone number, languages spoken, and other data you may specify in your CV. After receiving your CV, we will contact you. Most often, in addition to the specified amount of data, we also process data that you provide when communicating with us, as well as your test results (if applicable).

The legal basis for processing is the conclusion and performance of a contract. 

The purpose of the processing is to get to know and communicate with you, to assess whether the experience and skills of the candidates match the relevant vacancy.

We will store your data for the duration of our communication with you, as well as for 12 months after its completion (in case we have a current vacancy that may be of interest to you). 

5.Data of the Website Users collected using “cookies” – please read our Cookies Policy. 

The legal basis for processing is the protection of the legitimate interests of the personal data owner, as well as your consent (for the data that is not strictly necessary for the Website’s operation). 

The purpose of the processing is to improve your user experience on the Website, prevent fraudulent activities, ensure the correct operation of the Website, and monitor the effectiveness of the Website for statistical and analytical purposes.

Storage period. Depending on the type of cookies, the storage period can be either for 1 day or for the duration of the session, but in any case no more than 2 years from the date of the last visit to the Website.

We may process your personal data not only on the basis set out above but also when processing is necessary to perform our statutory obligations.

We do not sell your data or make any decisions based solely on automated processing that may have legal consequences or similarly significant effects on your rights and freedoms.

Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

By default, your personal data will be stored in Ukraine. However, it may be necessary to process your personal data in another country. For example, we may store technical or other data collected through third-party services on our servers. In this case, for the performance of the contract or if it is necessary for our legitimate interest, we have the right to such transfer and processing of your data in another country. In other cases, we will ask for your consent. Regardless of the basis for the processing, we will apply necessary and appropriate data protection measures during the transfer.

A limited number of our employees and contractors may have access to your personal data. They will be subject to contractual restrictions that prohibit them from using your personal data for any purpose other than to perform the functions assigned to them under the contract.

Such contractors include, for example, service providers who host our Website and who help us analyze Users’ activity on the Website. 

We also use third-party services to organize our work. Therefore, we may provide third-party service providers (and their subcontractors), such as Google Analytics, GitHub, Telegram, Slack, Amazon Web Services, and Notion, with limited access to your personal data. We may also use other third-party services for analytics and marketing purposes. They help us provide you with useful and relevant ads and measure their efficiency. Email addresses of business contacts may also be shared with service providers for sending messages (e.g., SendPulse) under confidentiality and security agreements.

In all cases, we comply with the requirements of data protection legislation and do our best to ensure that data processing is secure at all stages.

In addition to the above, we may have to disclose your personal data to third parties to the extent necessary to:

– comply with a request or order of a public authority;

– to defend against claims of third parties;

– prevent the illegal use of our Website, or social media;

– prevent fraud or assist in its investigation;

– to execute a court order.

Data Protection 

We take technical and organizational measures to protect personal data in a manner that ensures adequate security, including protection against accidental loss or destruction, unauthorized processing, unlawful destruction, or access to data. In particular, we provide access to personal data to a limited number of persons. We enter into non-disclosure agreements and train our staff to handle your data securely. 

Yet, while we take all necessary measures to protect your data, we have no choice but to recognize that no method of data transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

Your Rights re. Personal Data  

To exercise your rights, please write to us at the email address listed in the “Contact Us” section. 

You have the right to:

  • know about the sources of collection, the location of your personal data, the purpose of their processing, the location of the owner or manager of personal data;
  • receive information about the conditions for granting access to personal data, including information about third parties to whom your personal data is transferred;
  • have access to your personal data;
  • receive confirmation from us at any time whether we process your personal data and receive a full copy of this data. We will provide you with a response to your request for access to data no later than 30 calendar days from the date of its receipt, except as provided;
  • submit a reasonable request to us with an objection to processing your personal data. If, upon consideration of such a request, it is revealed that we cannot demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for processing the data that prevail over the interests, rights, and freedoms of the User, we will stop processing it and inform you of this. If the request is not subject to satisfaction, we will provide you with a reasonable response with a refusal;
  • make a reasonable request to change or destroy their personal data if this data is processed illegally or is unreliable;
  • protect their personal data from unlawful processing and accidental loss, destruction, or damage due to intentional concealment, failure to provide, or untimely provision, as well as to protect against the provision of information that is inaccurate or discrediting the honor, dignity, and business reputation of an individual;
  • to file complaints about the processing of their personal data to the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights or to the court, and to apply for legal remedies in case of violation of the legislation on personal data protection; the address of the Commissioner is 21/8 Instytutska St., Kyiv, 01008, Ukraine. This Policy is governed by the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection.” Current laws and requirements for personal data processing may change, as may our data processing mechanisms and terms. We will post a new version of this Policy on the Website to inform you of any changes.

If the changes made to the Policy are significant, we will notify you by email or publish the information on the Website and ask for your consent, where required.
