Successful success in our case of the Cycling Federation

Do you remember? Back then, due to the scandalous behavior of the previous leadership of the FCU and the harassment of athlete Hanna Solovey, the FCU Conference was held to re-elect its leader, and Dima Gadomsky described this project through the novels of his favorite science fiction writer Yves Gandon. (We will leave a link to that memorable post from 2019 in the comments).

Little did we realize then that legal advice on the Conference and elections would turn into almost 4.5 years of litigation and 11 court cases in courts of various jurisdictions, instances, and even cities of Ukraine. This is a project where we had periods of failure and hiccups, which accompanied us during the growth of our litigation practice and even when our team members received their lawyer’s licenses. But it is also a project of developing brilliant ideas and strategies, procedural blows, and phenomenal analysis of contradictions in legislation, alternatives, and plan B, pumping up procedural skills, and finally winning major cases. This is a project where all the attorneys and assistants in Axon who are and have been part of the team over the years have their own personal court case or court anecdote.

And on the Day of Advocacy, this project and this picture are very appropriate! (Ukrainian Cycling Federation, do not take this bike of ours on your professional account – only athletes’ lawyers ride such a unit!)

[Partum] Labor est etiam ipse voluptas – let this phrase, which we found at the House of Architector Holovan in Lutsk, where we went to a court hearing (in another case), and which we translated incorrectly on our own, still be characteristic of Axon’s and not only Axon’s lawyers!
